Kings Cross is unrecognisable from the place it was a decade ago, once a place that many avoided now it is smart, trendy and very expensive. It's been a few weeks since I explored around here but look what's popped up since my last visit. Around 800 engineers have moved into Google's new premises with another 2000 other staff to follow as the new premises continue to be developed.

Never knew Google was there
You would think Google will help make the area vibrant with younger people.
When my mother was growing up in that area in the 1930s she tells me that cattle waggons were unloaded at the railway station and kept in yards awaiting the attentions of the slaughterman. She also remembers cattle being driven through the streets. All very diferent from today.
Nice reflection
An amazing transformation. Another amazing thing is the size of Google these days. I'm flying to California today and right across the street from the Orange County airport is a huge high-rise building with Google's name on top. They are BIG.
Goodness gracious! What a difference!
How things change!
