Brrrr, do you feel that cold breeze. Maybe I'm imagining it but it seems to feel much colder at high tide.
The Thames is a tidal river, that rises and falls around 7 metres. The incoming tide comes in at nearly twice the speed of the outgoing tide which takes between 6 and 9 hours. A bit of trivia that has nothing to do with me feeling cold, but it might help you win a pub quiz contest.

I probably wouldn't be able to sit there for very long. I'm cold right now and it's 60 degrees outside.
It's a question of remembering these facts when you need them Mo ☺
I imagine the changing of the tides also has an influence on air currents down near the surface.
I didn't realize the tide was so high!
Nice view from that bench.
Thank you for the photograph and thank you for the trivia!
Happy weekend wishes
All the best Jan
In is faster than out, in is faster than out. Someone had better ask me pretty soon before I forget.
